Last November 22nd the Third Iberian Robotics Conference was hold in Sevilla with the objective of showing the robotic research and development of new applications. UTEK took part with the paper “High reliability unmanned vessels”
On the last 20th, the digital spanish version of Expansion newspaper published, on the cover of its supplement NAUTA 360, a publication about UTEK company and the development of its unmanned surface boat in collaboration with NARWHAL and TOURON.
The SV01P completes its first 50 navigation hours with a fail rate equal to 0%.
The first tests with the unmanned system was successfully performed using a radio link with the Ground Control Station.
UTEK’s first Prototype, SV01P, was launched in San Juan reservoir where subsystems tests begin. During the first navigation, TOURON experts checked engine performances with NARWHAL platform.
Integration of UTEK’s first Prototype, SV01P is finished. After vessel manufacturing in NARWHAL facilities in Vigo (Spain), the boat is moved to TOURON facilities for integration of engine and subsystems.
The Program was presented in Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid headquarters with the attendance of its President Cristina Cifuentes and ESA Director General Johann-Dietrich Wörner.
UTEK, NARWHAL and TOURON join efforts for the development of high performances USV’s. The three companies agree to provide their own resources for the development of an unmanned vessel prototype.
